3.2.2 Master's courses

Master's courses lead to a further degree qualifying the holder for an academic career. They are subdivided into the following categories:

Consecutive Master's courses are study courses in which the chosen subject will be studied in greater detail or breadth or in an interdisciplinary approach. They usually last four semesters. There are special regulations for the Master of Education (M.Ed.).
Career-based Master's courses are study courses which generally require professional experience. An additional fee may be required, and they last between two and four semesters.

Please be sure to check the information for admission requirements to Master’s programmes as well as the subject-specific language requirements (Zugangs- und Zulassungsregeln, ZZR) of Humboldt-Universität.
