HU Account
A HU account is required in order to use the electronic services available at Humboldt-Universität, such as your personal e-mail address, online registration for exams, personal websites, use of the public computer pools, Wi-Fi access on campus and E-Learning Moodle (► 6.1.2).

Students can set up the HU account online. You will need your matriculation number and your pin code.

With the HU account you can also register for courses and exams on the online course catalogue AGNES (► 6.1.1). All public computer pools, scanners and printers at HU are available to use with a HU account.

HU e-mail address
Together with your HU account, you will be provided with an e-mail account.

You can access your mailbox using Squirrelmail or Roundcube – two online based programmes. All study related information will be communicated to your HU e-mail address.

HU Wi-Fi network
Information on how to access the HU Wi-Fi and VPN (Virtual Private Network) can be found online at amor.hu-berlin.de under the heading Network Access. Different methods are required to access the Wi-Fi network, depending on whether you wish to access the network with a laptop, mobile phone or a tablet device. Further instructions are available online.
