9.1.3 Cultural and study assistance for international students KUSTOS
For several years now, Humboldt-Universität runs courses of intercultural training in cooperation with the Institute of Comparative Education. The training puts the emphasis on two aspects: Firstly, there are courses such as Gewusst wie! Studieren in Deutschland that we also offer in English "Get ready! Studying at university in Germany": designed to make studying at a German university easier for international students by acquainting them with some cultural differences and giving them study-related information, some of the courses are offered at the start of the university year. Secondly, there are courses focusing on intercultural issues attended by both German and international students from different countries. All these courses contribute to fostering mutual understanding and help.
