Information on Summer Schools by HU and other universities
Going abroad for participation in the summer school of a university abroad can make sense as an initial foray into international learning. Many universities worldwide offer summer and winter schools to meet student demand for short-term stays. Humboldt-Universität runs summer and winter schools both abroad and in Berlin.
- Humboldt Winter and Summer University (HUWISU)
- Circle U Summer Schools : In collaboration with the Circle U partner universities HU Berlin regularly organizes summer schools open to students from the nine participating network universities - check out "opportunities for students" for news on upcoming summer schools.

International Summer School in Economics and Management in Havana, Cuba
(open for all students) - Center for Transnational Criminal Justice Summer School in Berlin (in cooperation with the University of the Western Cape, South Africa)
- Regional studies and language courses at Charles University in Prague in summer (one place is free of charge, your contact person at the Faculty of Philosophy II)

Vancouver Summer Program - University of British Columbia
- open to students from all disciplines
- fee-based four-week summer school program
- June session 7 June - 7 July, 2024 & July session 12 July - 12 August, 2024
- Application deadlines: 1 March 2024 (for June session), 5 April 2024 (for July session)

Summer courses at UTdT - Universidad Torcuato Di Tella (Buenos Aires, Argentina)
- open to Master students from all disciplines
- participation in 1-3 courses in the program "Latin America in Focus: Addressing Social and Economic Challenges in Emerging Economies" - each course lasts 4 days and the courses take place between 1-18 July 2024. Students may take 1, 2 or 3 courses.
- participation fee: 100 USD
- for a nomination, please send an e-mail to the America Team (amerika.uv@hu-berlin.de) by 15 February 2024.
Fulbright Summer Program "Diversity Initiative" in the USA 2024
- for BA students with an immigration background
- open to all fields of study
- participation in a fully funded four-week summer program at Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas (from August 22 to September 21, 2024)
- study courses in history, politics and society as well as accompanying excursions
- information on the application process can be found on the program website.
- application deadline: February 28, 2024
DAAD Go East Summer Schools 2023
- for BA students of all subjects
- participation in a two-week Go-East winter school in Armenia, Georgia or Serbia in February/March 2024
- scholarship includes payment of the participation fee up to 650€, a travel allowance and a monthly partial scholarship installment (calculated on a daily rate)
- information on the participating winter schools can be found on the program website
- application: The application portal is open from October 15, 2023. The two-track application procedure requires interested students to apply to the winter school for admission and to apply at the DAAD for a scholarship. The application deadline in the DAAD portal is identical to the individual application deadline of the individual winter schools.
