The social counselling service offers help in the following fields:

• study financing (BAföG, maintenance, scholarships, jobs, loans);
• studies and childcare;
• counselling concerning social law matters (child benefits, unemployment benefits II, health insurance);
• problems with authorities or institutions (e.g. starting a legal appeal procedure);
• living in Berlin, applying for housing benefits and
• financial support for students (short-term bridge loans, emergency funds).

Psychological and psychotherapeutic counselling
Students facing problems may contact one of the following addresses for counselling and therapy without a health insurance voucher (Krankenschein). Appointments should be arranged by telephone or via email.
