Privacy Policy

in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (DSGVO).

In addition to the data protection declaration for the websites of Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, the following provisions apply:

1. the responsible body for the HU GO STUDY program is the International Department of Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, with department management (Dr. Ursula Hans, ursula.hans@hu-berlin.de, +49 (0)30 2093 46701) and HU GO STUDY management (Dr. Merlinda Dalipi, m.dalipi@hu-berlin.de +49 (0)30 2093-46 139).

2. participants can generally visit the websites of the HU GO STUDY program without leaving any personal data. Personal data is only collected if the interested parties provide it of their own accord (e.g. when using services of the websites such as registering for a course).

3. personal data include: full name, date of birth, place of birth, home address, telephone number, home university, nationality, gender, information about access to our website.

4. the data of interested parties collected for participation in the offers of the HU GO STUDY program (e.g. when registering for a course offer) will be stored, modified and transmitted by the organizer exclusively for the fulfillment of its own business purposes. This is necessary for the execution of the contract. The data will be processed exclusively at the business location of the organizer.

5. Only the employees of the organizer of the HU GO STUDY program will have access to the personal data. The personal data will not be disclosed to third parties.

6. personal data will be deleted after three years from the date of storage.

7. participants have the right to information from the responsible parties (of the HU GO STUDY program) about the personal data in question, as well as the right to correction or deletion or to restriction of processing or a right to object to restriction of processing, as well as the right to data portability.

8. by registering and agreeing to this privacy policy, the participant consents to personal participant data being stored by the responsible party in machine-readable form within the framework of the Berlin Data Protection Act (BlnDSG) and the European Data Protection Regulation (DSGVO) and being processed as described for the purposes of event implementation, including the maintenance of internal participant lists as well as internal reporting and internal statistics, and being displayed on the event participant list.

9. contact of the data protection officer: Alexander Rück, datenschutz@uv.hu-berlin.de. On the part of the participant, there is the right to complain to the data protection officer.

10. the consent to the privacy policy is voluntary and is confirmed with acceptance of the terms and conditions. The participant has the right to revoke the consent at any time for the future. This is also possible by e-mail to the organizer. The lawfulness of the processing carried out on the basis of the consent until the revocation is not affected by this. A revocation of the privacy policy has no effect on the confirmation and effectiveness of the GTC.
