9.1.2 Students Welcome Centre

The International Service Centre is run by the International Department and organised by Humboldt students for students from abroad. It is a regular meeting point for all German and international students who enjoy meeting people from other countries and cultures.

The International Service Centre houses an Infothek (Information Desk), which offers advice on questions concerning life and studies at Humboldt-Universität.

At the beginning of every semester, the International Department organises an orientation event which is designed to make the start of studies easier for international students. Additionally, we strongly recommend participation in orientation sessions held at all university faculties and departments, where specific questions on course programmes will be answered by the academic counselling staff (► 6.4.1).
