HU students who are currently studying abroad

If you are currently studying abroad, consider whether returning to Germany is an option. You may not be able to leave your host country. Students funded through ERASMUS+ will continue to receive their stipend. Once a student has returned home, each individual case will be considered. As soon as the International Department has confirmed news of how the EU will handle finances, we will post those news on this website.

If students are registered at a university abroad as exchange students and this university offers online classes, they can attend online courses at the Humboldt-University and at the other university simultaneously. Courses that were completed at the other university can be recognised at the Humboldt-University. The application for recognition must be submitted to the relevant examination board together with the relevant evidence. Please note that this is only possible if students have not applied for an "Urlaubssemester" at the Humboldt-University. If you have applied for an "Urlaubssemester", you can withdraw that application at imma@hu-berlin.de until May 15th.
