Princeton University

In October 2012, a profile partnership between Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and Princeton University (USA) was established. In their strategic cooperation agreement, the universities agree to deploy additional resources to support already close academic partnerships and to support new joint projects to further intensify their institutional collaboration as well.

In the context of their profile partnership, Princeton University and Humboldt-Universität launch an annual call for proposals to support joint teaching and research initiatives. A joint committee awards funding to select projects. Since 2013, 20 projects in a broad range of disciplines have received funding. In 2016, four projects were granted financial support.
The current call for project proposals was launched on 1 December 2016. The deadline ends on 31 March 2017. Further information are available in the profile partnerships calls announcement.

Funded Projects 2016

In a pilot phase, the Staff Mobility programme is currently being developed to enable administrative employees of the two profile partners to take part in an exchange programme between the two universities. This will give them the opportunity to benefit from the experience of the related departments and give them an international change of perspective. In the medium term, this programme aims to intensify institutional collaboration between the profile partners - at the administrative level as well.
