KOSMOS Dialogues

The KOSMOS Dialogues support a short-term stay of an international researcher which includes the opportunity for scientific exchange with young researchers

Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin's junior scientists have the opportunity to invite an international guest scientist to participate in a KOSMOS Dialogue (a short visit lasting up to three days) to jointly develop or advance research or teaching projects.

Based on the emphasis placed by Alexander and Wilhelm von Humboldt on dialogue between cultures, schools of thought and social trends as a means of social and scientific actions characterised by open-mindedness, the KOSMOS Dialogue format combines the following two components:

1. Public discussion:

Organising a dialogue on an issue that is scientifically relevant and adresses a broad audience.

2. Scientific exchange:

Small group exchanges between guest scientist and young researchers at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin (in particular doctoral candidates and post-doctoral scientists) who work in the relevant field.

Who can apply?

Junior researchers from all HU departments, institutes, interdisciplinary units, central institutes and integrative research institutes.

What are the relevant criteria?

What is the application procedure?
