General information on support services
HU stands by the Ukrainian scientists and students during the Russian war of aggression. All information and support services can be found here.
Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin condemns Russia’s attack on Ukraine and is focusing on supporting Ukrainian students and academics in this situation. “Our thoughts are with our colleagues, fellow students and their families,” says Prof. Dr Peter Frensch, acting president of the university.
Support for Ukrainian students and researchers
While the university is working on setting up an emergency fund for students, the International Department advises on residence issues and social concerns. This is done within the framework of the initiative “Refugees Welcome @ HU” and the “Scholars at Risk” services. Please direct your enquiries to int.refugees@hu-berlin.de.
For language courses, please contact our colleagues from the INTEGRA programme.
You may also get in touch with any of the student-led welcome initiatives at HU. These volunteers offer support for refugees at Humboldt, including legal advice, mentoring programmes, language cafés and more.
Humboldt-Universität would like to enable Ukrainian academics and students to continue their studies and research projects. Further measures are in preparation for this. We will keep you informed about current aid and funding programmes on this page and on social media.
