Ausschreibung: Forschungsaufenthalte (Frist: 30.11.2022)

Die Humboldt-Universität fördert innerhalb des europäischen Hochschulnetzwerks Circle U. Mobilitäten von Nachwuchswissenschaftler:innen (Promovierenden und Post-Docs).

Within the framework of Circle U., Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin is offering early career researchers (PhD students and Post-Docs) funding for a research or teaching stay for up to 3 months in the period from Januar 2023 to November 2023. The alliance consists of the following members: Aarhus University (Denmark), University of Pisa (Italy), Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin (Germany), King’s College London (United Kingdom), Universität Wien, (Austria), Université Paris Cité (France), University of Belgrade (Serbia), University of Louvain (Belgium) and University of Oslo (Norway).

Two possible modes of funding are available:

1.PhD-Students and Post-Docs from Humboldt-Universität can chose one destination from one of theeight partner universities mentioned aboveor

2.PhD-Students and Post-Docs from one of the eight partner universities can visit Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin

Please bear in mind: Humboldt-Universität has to be either the hosting or the sending institution.

The call is open for all disciplines and all partner universities. For the application to be considered, the project must be compatible with one of the three core topics of Circle U.: democracy, global health or climate change. It is not obligatory to show already existing contacts to any of the partners, but it is expected of applications to make clearly visible that the chosen destination contributes to the applicants' research project as well as the alliance.

HU will cover actual travel and accommodation costs according to the German Travel Expenses Act to a maximum of 5.000 Euros.

Because of the dynamic situation during the pandemic situation and in case travel restrictions apply, the exchange might be started online while already being funded. When possible, the physical exchange can be taken up at a later time.

Please submit a short abstract of the research project (one page max.), a preliminary travel plan and a expected costs to Dr. Klaus Wiehl (klaus.wiehl@hu-berlin.de) by November 30 2022.

Applications will be evaluated by a Circle U. selection committee.
