Welcome!

FAMOS Connect supports international first-semester students of all degree courses who are completing the entire course of their studies at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. We achieve this by providing comprehensive mentoring, qualification workshops, academic trainings and networking. The aim of the programme is to prepare students optimally for the start of their studies and to ensure their fast and successful integration into their courses of studies.

■ MENTORING

In FAMOS Connect, each participating international first-semester student will be connected with two mentors.

Student Mentors

offer support regarding:
  • Orientation at the HU
  • Organization of the course of studies
  • Bureaucratic tasks
  • Finding accommodation and part-time jobs

Academic Mentors

offer support regarding:
  • Questions related to the course of studies
  • Planning the progress of the studies
  • Intercultural misunderstandings during the course of studies
