Erasmus+Grantees  will receive their nomination confirmation from the Erasmus+ Partner Countries Coordinator of Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, who will then prepare and sign the grant agreement, the invitation for the visa application, issue an insurance policy (if desired), and take care of flight reservations (in exeptional cases).

Please discuss the courses you would like to take with the coordinator at your home institution. Please use our Humboldt-Universität template for the Learning Agreement. Students are supposed to work towards gaining 30 ECTS credit points per full semester accepted by their home university.

It is helpful to make yourself familiar with the courses offered at HU. Our course catalog Agnes can be found online. The course offer for the summer term will be available in February, the course offer for the winter term in July. Admission to Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin is only possible within the field of study the collaboration has been agreed upon.

Please note: At some faculties students are required to take complete modules (which is due to the Bologna Process to simplify degree recognition within the EU). One module is usually made up of two seminars (worth 4 ECTS each, provided the student completed the course work), or one seminar and two lectures (the lectures are worth 2 ECTS), and a final exam, which is usually a seminar paper about one of the courses, or an exam about the topics of all courses (this exam is the so-called MAP - "Modulabschlussprüfung"), worth 2 ECTS. The grade is assessed for the whole module, which is worth 10 ECTS in total.

PhD students, who do not intend to take classes at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin need to fill-in their research topics in the Learning Agreement, and need a written confirmation from their supervisor at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin at the end of their research period about the credit points earned. PhD students can take only MA courses for credit.
