This includes start of studies training, which supports you in finding your way at the University and using all the important services and platforms. In intercultural training, you can also become familiar with characteristics of German (university) culture and the labour market, and further develop your awareness of potential for conflict and positive communication.

Studying healthily is central to a fulfilling and successful time at university. Hochschulisches Gesundheitsmanagement (University’s health management) offers services including exercise, relaxation, nutrition, advice and interaction

In a webinar series, you can prepare for application procedures and the world of work in Germany. Various cultural and networking eventsoffer you the opportunity to establish contacts and become part of the international student community of HU!

      Welcome Centre

      Your first HU semester is just around the corner and will bring completely new challenges. The Welcome Centre’s kick-off Zooms are there to help students and doctoral students from abroad to get started: we explain everything you now need to know!

      At the University, people from various countries and cultures come together. In our intercultural training for students and doctoral students from abroad, you learn to reflect on your own presuppositions and communicate confidently in conflict situations.

      HU’s Welcome Centre makes it easy for international students and doctoral students to establish contacts and to become familiar with the University and Berlin from a studying perspective. There are joint excursions, themed evenings and much more on the programme!

      Supervision programme HUGS

      Make your mark in the HU main building! Grooving Walls is a University art project by the Welcome Centre. It invites you, as international students, to design selected wall sections of the International Service Centre artistically.
