HUGS – cours­es and events for in­ter­na­tion­al stu­dents

HU GO STUDY, abbreviated HUGS, is a University support programme for students and doctoral students from abroad. It offers workshops free of charge on various topics and events to meet new people and to network.

Are you coming from abroad for your degree programme or your doctoral studies at Humboldt-Universität? Then the HU GO STUDY (HUGS) supervision programme is there for you during your studies! HUGS offers a variety of workshops and events to help you master your everyday life at the University and in Berlin.

This includes start of studies training, which supports you in finding your way at the University and using all the important services and platforms. In intercultural training, you can also become familiar with characteristics of German (university) culture and the labour market, and further develop your awareness of potential for conflict and positive communication.

The HUGS workshops on the topic of well-being teach techniques for time management and handling stress in connection with studies and examinations. In a further series of webinars, you can prepare for application procedures and the world of work in Germany. Various cultural and networking eventsoffer you the opportunity to establish contacts and become part of the international student community of HU! And last but not least, students can express themselves creatively and expand their network in the Grooving Walls project.

Some of the services offered take place online, and some take place in attendance. Register here to participate free of charge. We look forward to seeing you!

      Your first HU semester is just around the corner and will bring completely new challenges. The HU GO STUDY (HUGS) kick-off Zooms are there to help students and doctoral students from abroad to get started: we explain everything you now need to know!

      At the University, people from various countries and cultures come together. In our intercultural training for students and doctoral students from abroad, you learn to reflect on your own presuppositions and communicate confidently in conflict situations.

      Supervision programme HUGS

      Make your mark in the HU main building! Grooving Walls is a University art project by the Welcome Centre. It invites you, as international students, to design selected wall sections of the International Service Centre artistically.
