Insights - NOW Armenia 2024

NOW (Network East-West) is an academic exchange programme that explores legal and societal transformation processes. In cooperation with partner universities, it fosters scholarly dialogue between students from Germany and Eastern Europe.

NOW Armenia 2024 focused on the theme “Rule of Law and Societal Change.” Young legal scholars from Germany and Armenia worked together on current issues. At the heart of the programme were conferences, seminars, and workshops on constitutional law, human rights, and democratisation. Case studies, expert discussions, and excursions to courts and institutions provided practical insights.

The programme followed a two-stage exchange format: German students visited the Russian-Armenian University in Yerevan, while Armenian students came to Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin to gain insights into the German legal system. The exchange promoted comparative legal analysis and intercultural learning.

NOW Armenia 2024 was supported by the DAAD programme Ostpartnerschaften and offered a unique platform for international academic exchange.
