      Strategic Partnerships

      Princeton University was founded in 1746 and is one of the most prestigious institutions worldwide. Building on diverse and long-time collaborations at a faculty level, Humboldt-Universität has been part of a strategic partnership with Princeton since 2012.

      Strategic Partnerships

      The two universities have been joining forces since 2015 to address the challenges of our globalised world together. Universidade de São Paulo was founded in 1934 and, with over 90,000 students, is the largest public university in Brazil.

      Berlin University Alliance

      The relations with Humboldt-Universität at a faculty level go back to the 1980s. As part of the Berlin University Alliance, Humboldt-Universität has been joining forces with the University of Oxford since 2017 to face the challenges of our time.

      The National University of Singapore is one of the world’s leading research universities and a top university in its region. It is distinguished by an interdisciplinary and practice-oriented approach in the fields of education, research and innovation.

      Cooperations

      The Eastern Partnerships DAAD programme offers researchers at Humboldt-Universität the opportunity to establish and expand collaborations with nine selected universities from Albania, Armenia, Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Ukraine.

    • Glob­al South

      Cooperations

      The greatest challenges of our time, such as climate change, pandemics or migration, demand collaborations from science that are truly globally oriented. We therefore see it as our task to resolutely take into consideration all world regions in internationalisation.

    • Ox­ford-Berlin Mo­bil­i­ty Pro­gramme for Ear­ly Ca­reer Re­searchers

      Call for applications

      The Oxford Berlin Research Partnership supports two- to eight-week research stays to foster new or existing collaborations. Early career researchers (PhD candidates and postdocs) from Humboldt-Universität can apply for up to 4,500 euros to carry out research at the University of Oxford.

      You are working on your dissertation and would like to further deepen your doctoral research at a US university or another academic institution of your choosing? Fulbright Germany offers you the opportunity to apply for a four- to six-month research fellowship.

      Call for applications

      A prize for excellent emerging female scientists: non-HU professors can nominate candidates from both within Germany and abroad. The prize money amounts to €15,000 and applications are open until 18 May.

      Glob­al Cli­mate Call: Lec­tures and live calls on glob­al cli­mate re­search

      For the Long Night of Science, the Humboldt Lab will connect live to research projects around the world: At the "Call a Scientist" station, visitors can pick up the phone themselves to speak with researchers.
