Update USA: Challenges and prospects for scientific cooperation

The United States is a key partner of Humboldt-Universität in research, teaching and academic exchange. However, current developments in higher education policy and changing frameworks and conditions raise questions about the future organisation of existing and new collaborations.

We cordially invite all HU academics to attend a virtual event to learn about current trends and challenges in US higher education. There will be brief input presentations by Jan Lüdert (DWIH New York), Evelina Santa-Kahle (Consulate General New York), Rahel Jaeggi (HU) and Anna-Bettina Kaiser (HU). Afterwards, we‘ll have time for collegial exchange and discussion of open questions and perspectives for further collaboration. The event will be held in German.

Event topics:

  • current developments in higher education policy in the USA
  • effects on international research and exchange projects
  • opportunities for further developing existing partnerships
  • space for individual questions, comments and the exchange of experiences

This event is open to all interested members of the university community, particularly researchers with existing or planned collaborations in the USA. We look forward to your participation and the exchange of ideas!
