Matriculation and ERASMUS+International Grant Commitments

After the enrolment you have the official student status at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. At the day of the enrolment you will get a student ID card (including semester ticket) which you can use for all public transportation in Berlin (ABC). The ticket is valid from the first day to the last day of the semester.

You received a personal invitation with a given date for enrolment in your letter of confirmation. Please keep your appointment and come on time!

Only in a very few exceptional cases the date of enrolment can be changed:

  1. You have not yet received an entry visa for Germany (applicable only for countries whose citizens need a visa), or
  2. You are required to take examinations at your home university (confirmation in writing from home university required), or
  3. You have an internship outside Berlin (written confirmation by the employer required), or
  4. You or your relatives are suffering from illness and need your help (requires a relevant medical certificate).

ERASMUS+International Grant Commitments

With respect to your ERASMUS+International Grant please meet personally the ERASMUS+International Management team immediatly upon the agreed arrival date:

Please bring with you all documents required for the enrolment at HU, your passport, flight tickets and the boarding passes of your arrival flight. Please carry with you the current address in Berlin at this moment (it may be a preliminary address that may change later).

You will then sign the originals of

  • the ERASMUS+International Grant Agreement,
  • the ERASMUS+International Arrival & Departure Certificate,
  • the ERASMUS+International Insurance request

 

The ERASMUS+International Management team will then also prepare the payment of the first instalment of your ERASMUS+International grant. If you do not hold a bank account in the EU this payment may be made in cash via the HU-Cash desk. You may count on getting these funds within one week after your meeting with the ERASMUS+International management team.
