Online application process

A summary about the necessary steps for the online application at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin

How does the online application process works?

  1. You have to register at the extern application website of if you study medicine at the CHARITE CHIC.
     
  2. You will recieve an e-mail with a confirmation link which you need to log in in our application system.
     
  3. Submit your data in the application system (password change, name, address, home university etc.).
     
  4. Choose the subjects of study you want to study at HU. You can only choose those subjects for which the HU has a contract with your home university.
     
  5. Enter the result of the German language test (C-Test) or send an equivalent proof via e-mail to the Incoming Team and to your HU ERASMUS coordinator (PDF coordinators) as well. Please note that there might be different guideline for other exchange programmes than ERASMUS.
     
  6. You have following choices during the application process:

    - early processing of your application if you need it for your visa application
    - intensive language course before the start of the semester
    - online application for student accommodation for exchange students
    - KUSTOS - Intercultural trainings for study orientation
      Meet German students and take part in cultural programmes.
    - mentoring programme Studis4Studis
       Our mentoring programme helps you with your start in Berlin at your new
       university.
    - Berlin Perspectives
       Additional courses for exchange students of all subjects who lack of the required
       language skills to take part in the regular courses.
     
  7. Please check all your data before submitting your online application.
     
  8. After the ERASMUS faculty coordinators or programme coordinators checked your application you will recieve your nomination form via e-mail. In the nomination form you find the subjects of study that HU agreed upon.
     
  9. Please print the nomination form and let the coordinator of your home university sign and stamp it. Also you have to sign the form yourself too.
     
  10. Please send the signed nomination form back via e-mail at the e-mail address mentioned at the nomination form.

 

When do I recieve my nomination for the ERASMUS programme?

Approximately 4-6 weeks after the end of the application deadline
