Parliamentary Internships

The International Parliamentary Scholarship (IPS) is aimed at young graduates from currently 40 participating countries.

The German Bundestag offers, in cooperation with Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Freie Universität Berlin and Technische Universität Berlin, an annual programme for 120 highly qualified young people with a strong interest in politics. Germany's system of parliamentary government can be experienced first-hand during a five-months stay in Berlin.

The general objective is to contribute to intercultural exchange and to deepen the understanding of democratic values and tolerance. The scholarship holders are encouraged to return home with the determination to play an active and responsible role in shaping their countries' democratic future.
