Freedom of Movement Certificate/EU Citizens' Residence Regulation
Because of a change concerning the Law on the Freedom of Movement in the European Union (EU), the Registration Offices no longer provide any free movement permits.

Swiss citizens enjoy a similar right of free movement, but need to apply for a residence permit – Switzerland (Aufenthaltserlaubnis-Schweiz) from the Foreigners’ Registration Office (Ausländerbehörde). Prerequisites are sufficient financial resources, appropriate health insurance and a valid passport or identity card. They may also apply through the Visa Service (► 5.1.3). You will need a valid passport for application.
