5.1.1 Registering at the Local Registration Office | Bürgeramt

On arrival in Berlin, international students are required to register at a Local Registration Office within 14 days after moving into an apartment or hall of residence. In addition to the registration form (Anmeldeformular), you must also present a confirmation of arrival (Wohnungsgeberbestätigung) signed by your landlord. A list of registration offices including their addresses and opening times can be found on the website. It is necessary to book an appointment online.
