6.4.2 Student Course Counselling Services and Student Councils

Student course counselling services (studentische Studienfachberatung) at the departmental level are available to give information on questions concerning students' personal timetables or study schemes. The senior students who provide these services can help you solve problems, they can make suggestions for your personal study scheme and give advice about particular courses.

The faculty student councils (Fachschaften) consist of students who are committed to supporting student interests. Student representatives in the Fachschaften are active in the committees (such as the Department Council, Institutsrat) and address various problems which may arise from examinations, from staff-student relations or from the administration of studies. They also organise cultural events in their faculty.
