8.2.7 The Commissioner for Integration and Migration of the Berlin Senate

The Commissioner for Integration and Migration of the Berlin Senate offers a comprehensive counselling service taking care of social and legal problems. The Commissioner's Office can assist in personal emergencies and it organises training courses to combat discrimination and violence. It also gives advice in cases of discrimination and supports associations, clubs and community initiatives of foreign fellow-citizens.

Multilingual counselling is available at the Welcome Centre on legal, social and hardship cases as well as on German courses, recognition of vocational qualifications from abroad, vocational, basic and further training, studying, labour law and setting up a business.
