9.1.2 The International Club "Orbis Humboldtianus"

Orbis LogoThe "Orbis Humboldtianus" International Club is run by the International Office and organized by Humboldt students for students from abroad. It is a regular meeting point for all German and international students who enjoy meeting people from other countries and cultures.

The Club houses an Infothek (Information Desk), which offers advice on questions concerning life and studies at Humboldt-Universität.

At the beginning of every semester, the International Office organises an introductory meeting which is designed to make the start of studies easier for international students. Additionally, we strongly recommend participation in orientation sessions held at university faculties, departments and institutes, where specific questions on course programmes will be answered by the academic counselling staff (► 6.4.1).
