Information on Summer Schools by HU and other universities
Going abroad for participation in the summer school of a university abroad can make sense as an initial foray into international learning. Many universities worldwide offer summer and winter schools to meet student demand for short-term stays. Humboldt-Universität runs summer and winter schools both abroad and in Berlin.
- Humboldt Winter and Summer University (HUWISU)
- Circle U Summer Schools : In collaboration with the Circle U partner universities HU Berlin regularly organizes summer schools open to students from the nine participating network universities - check out "opportunities for students" for news on upcoming summer schools.

International Summer School in Economics and Management in Havana, Cuba
(open for all students) - Center for Transnational Criminal Justice Summer School in Berlin (in cooperation with the University of the Western Cape, South Africa)
- Regional studies and language courses at Charles University in Prague in summer (one place is free of charge, your contact person at the Faculty of Philosophy II)
Summer Schools at Partner Universities:
- University of British Columbia: Vancouver Summer Program (open to all students; fee-based four-week summer school program; first session June 2-July 2, 2023 & second session July 14-August 14, 2023).
- Summer University at Aarhus University (open to all students, exemption from course fees possible - for more info, please contact the Global Mobility Team): Spend part of your summer in Denmark and take one course at BA or MA level at Aarhus University in Term 1 (July 4 - July 21, 2023) or Term 2 (July 24 - August 11, 2023).
DAAD Go East Summer Schools 2023
BA students of all majors can apply for up to three Go East summer schools in countries in Central, Southeastern and Eastern Europe as well as the South Caucasus and Central Asia starting March 1. This year, summer schools in Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Estonia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Kosovo, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Tajikistan, Ukraine, Hungary and Uzbekistan are participating. The scholarship covers the participation fee up to 650€, a travel allowance and a monthly partial scholarship installment (calculated on a daily basis).
