The application period for study placements in the academic year 2024/2025 has ended. There is no additional application window for remaining exchange spots - only students who have applied during the main application period will be considered for remaining study placements.

The application form can be filled out and submitted from 15 May, 2024 to 15 June 2024 (closes at 11.59pm) for a study placement in the spring semester at New York University (this program is only open to BA students). Our main application period for all study placements in the academic year 2025/2026 runs from 15 October, 2024 - 15 November, 2024 (closes at 11:59pm). ATTENTION: Students of law and medicine can not be admitted to most of our programs within the university-wide partnership agreements. Please contact the relevant institute or department for information on exchange programs for law and medical students. Students of economics/business as well as all applicants who are already studying in their Master's program are asked to contact the Global Mobility Team for detailed information on exchange possibilites.

Note on proof of language proficiency

For applications for the USA and Canada (except: UQàM) TOEFL iBT test results must be submitted. Unfortunately, school transcripts or the DAAD language certificate cannot be accepted as an alternative proof of language proficiency. The original TOEFL results must be sent to HU (CODE: 8167) through ETS. If applying to the University of California (UC) or New York University, the TOEFL score report must also be submitted to the UC (CODE: 4795) and the NYU (CODE 2562).
