After applying for an Erasmus+ study placement through your subject coordinator, you can apply for Erasmus+ mobility funding. Typically, you will receive this funding.
Please note that Erasmus+ funding is only a contribution towards your stay abroad, intended to offset the additional costs incurred during your stay. The funding usually does not cover all expenses.
For your study stay, you will receive a mobility grant calculated based on the monthly rates. Depending on available funds, a funding period will generally be determined, which may not correspond to your actual duration of stay. For example, for one semester, a funding period of 4 months may be set - if you stay longer, you will still receive funding for 4 months. If your stay is less than four months, you will receive funding based on the exact number of days you are abroad, calculated according to your verified dates of stay.
The calculation of your stay period is based on the study-related stay, including courses, language courses, orientation programs, etc., which are documented by your host institution. Stay days that are not related to your studies, such as arriving early for apartment hunting, are not included in the eligible period.
Details of your mobility funding and associated rights and obligations will be outlined in the Grant Agreement, which you will receive from your departmental coordination after selection and acceptance of the Erasmus+ placement.
Further advice regarding your stay will be provided by your departmental coordination.
