Arriving and thriving: New student blogs from Barcelona and London
The semester is moving forward – in Barcelona and London, too. HU ambassadors Viktoria and Hannes share their experiences on how to settle into a new city and make the most of it for both academic and personal development.
Barcelona is a popular Erasmus+ destination, but how do you find your way as a student in the vibrant Spanish metropolis? HU ambassador Viktoria offers tips on public transport (for getting to class as well as to the beach), connecting with local students and fellow exchange participants, along with some cultural highlights. If reading her story sparks your interest in studying in Catalonia, get in touch with the Erasmus coordinator at your department or faculty. Of course, there are many more exchange opportunities with partner institutions across the globe. Hannes, for example, ended up at Imperial College London and recommends a semester abroad to fellow science students. In his latest blog post, he shares why his semester abroad makes a lot of sense for him as a mathematician.
