Berlin University Alliance launches research collaboration with São Paulo
A new cooperation agreement paves the way for increased joint research between Brazil and Berlin. The Berlin University Alliance has entered into the partnership with São Paulo's public research foundation.
On 5 September, Prof. Marco Antonio Zago, President of the Fundação de Amparo à Pesquisa do Estado de São Paulo (FAPESP), signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). Prof. Günter M. Ziegler, BUA spokesperson and President of Freie Universität Berlin signed on behalf of the alliance. Under the terms of the agreement, the BUA will provide funding to initiate research and innovation projects. An interdisciplinary call for proposals to support these initiatives is already in preparation.
