The European Law School team has participated in the European Law Moot Court, representing Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Université Paris Panthéon-Assas and Università di Roma La Sapienza. The Moot Court simulates proceedings before the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU), with a written phase (submissions for claimant and defendant) and an oral phase (pleadings before a panel of judges).

This year’s case focused on EU competition and consumer protection law, judicial independence and private international law. After qualifying for the regional finals in Barcelona on 15 and 16 February, Colin Duchange, Julie Louka, and Giulio Polisi reached the semi-finals. Joe Pearn was awarded Best Commission Agent and will represent the team before the CJEU in April.
