In­ter­na­tion­al sum­mer school in Geor­gia re­ceives DAAD fund­ing

In light of the current political and social developments in Georgia, it is particularly gratifying to see the summer school “Shifting Tides: Exploring Conflict Dynamics and European Transformation in the Black Sea Region” receive funding from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD).

The joint programme is organised by the international Master’s programmes at HU's Department of Social Sciences and the Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University. Next summer, it will bring together 30 Bachelor’s students from both universities in Tbilisi. Especially now, it is crucial to deepen our exchange and engage young people from both countries in an intensive dialogue on democratization, Europeanization, security policy and the involvement of civil society. We look forward to an inspiring week that will open up new perspectives and strengthen long-term cooperation.
