Six doctoral scholarships in Ancient Studies
The Berlin Graduate School of Ancient Studies (BerGSAS) is offering doctoral scholarships with funding from the DAAD (Graduate School Scholarship Program). Two scholarships are linked to each of the following doctoral study programmes at BerGSAS:
'Ancient Languages and Texts', 'Ancient Objects and Visual Studies', 'Landscape Archaeology and Architecture'. Applications are welcome from Master graduates from the following disciplines: Ancient History, History of Late Antiquity and Early Middle Ages, Ancient Oriental Languages, Classical Philology (including Byzantine Studies), Egyptology (including Coptology), Protestant Theology, Iranian Studies, Historical-Comparative Linguistics as well as Religious Studies. All scholarships start on 1 October 2026 and have a maximum duration of four years. The application deadline is 15 October 2025.
