Students from the Centre for British Studies (GBZ) will present an interactive, multimedia exhibition titled "No Place like 'Home': Windrush and Legacies of 20th-Century Migration in the UK and Beyond" during this year's Long Night of Science on 28 June. Students from the BA European Politics programme at King's College London (KCL) are also involved in the exhibition.

Staged in HU's Senate Hall, the HU students' exhibits will focus on the Windrush generation and Britain’s recent migration history, while those of KCL will explore a parallel migratory movement-that of West Germany's so-called Gastarbeiter (migrant workers). This research-based exhibition features film, music, archival and literary materials, and food. It is accompanied by a programme of talks delivered by expert panellists, workshops, children’s events, and guided tours conducted in German, English, and Turkish by HU and KCL students. The exhibition will take place on 28 June 2025 from 5pm to 11pm in the Senate Hall of the main building of the Humboldt-Universität.
