After the enrolment you have the official student status at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. At the day of the enrolment you will get a student ID card (including semester ticket) which you can use for all public transportation in Berlin (ABC). The ticket is valid from the first day to the last day of the semester.

You received a personal invitation with a given date for enrolment in your letter of confirmation. Please keep your appointment and come on time!

Only in a very few exceptional cases the date of enrolment can be changed:

  1. You have not yet received an entry visa for Germany (applicable only for countries whose citizens need a visa, e.g. Turkey), or
  2. You are required to take examinations at your home university (confirmation in writing from home university required), or
  3. You have an internship outside Berlin (written confirmation by the employer required), or
  4. You are suffering from illness (requires a relevant medical certificate).
