Call for research projects with actors from the Western Balkans
Are you currently working on a research project about Digital Transformation, Green Deal and Healthy Societies and are looking for researchers to cooperate with? Then why not cooperate with researchers from the Western Balkans. The Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung is looking for researchers with projects related to Digital Transformation, Green Deal and Healthy Societies who would like to cooperate with fellow researchers from the Western Balkans in order to deepen the relations between the two parties, to exchange knowledge about the previously mentioned topics, and to further promote the internationalisation of science and research and the programme "Strengthening Germany in the European Research and Education Area". You have until 11 June 2025, at the latest, to submit your project drafts in German or English.
Call for applications | International Parliamentary Scholarship for African Countries 2026
In a four-week compact programme, up to 24 scholarship holders can get to know the German parliamentary system and the political decision-making processes in the German Bundestag at first hand. The programme runs from 5 January to 3 February 2026. The core of the programme is a one-week placement in the office of a Member of the German Bundestag, shadowing the MP and their staff members. The programme provides a compact introduction to parliamentary democracy and the functioning of the German Bundestag. Other topics include pluralist society, minority protection, and culture of remembrance as a political task. There will be a series of workshops on a variety of topics, including anti-corruption and intercultural training. A project management workshop will help participants develop their own project ideas to promote democracy and civil society in their home countries. Applications must be submitted to the German diplomatic missions abroad. The deadline is 13 July 2025.
Call for applications for New Kibbutz: Internships in Israeli start-ups
The DAAD in cooperation with the German-Israeli Chamber of Industry and Commerce and the Israeli Embassy offer students from all German universities the opportunity to do an internship at high-tech start-up companies in Israel. From 1 April 2025, face-to-face stays in Israel will be offered to students as part of the "New Kibbutz" scholarship program. This program, which has been running since 2021, gives students from all German universities the opportunity to complete internships in innovative Israeli start-ups and high-tech companies in order to return to Germany with the know-how and contacts they have gained there and subsequently strengthen the start-up scene in this country.
Call for Applications for Azrieli International Visiting PhD Fellowship
The Azrieli International Visiting PhD Fellowship offers outstanding international PhD candidates the opportunity to conduct short-term research in Israel, fostering academic collaboration and strengthening global research ties. Fellows will work closely with leading Israeli researchers, gaining valuable experience in world-class academic institutions. The fellowship enables PhD candidates to conduct short-term research at leading universities in Israel. It is valued at 12,000 ILS per month and is offered for up to four months. Applicants interested in arriving for the Spring 2026 semester may apply beginning 1 September 2025.
New call for applications for the DAAD 'EFR Future Scholarships - Green Hydrogen'
The program is aimed at German and international PhD students and postdocs in all disciplines related to green hydrogen studies, research and internships in Germany and worldwide. Interested students can apply directly to the DAAD for the scholarship and one of the advertised internships. Alternatively, PhD students can also organize an internship themselves and only apply for a scholarship. PhD students and PostDocs can apply at any time. Please keep in mind: The ERA Fellowships – Green Hydrogen ends on 31 December 2026.
European Scholarship Programme - You and Europe
‘You and Europe’ is a scholarship programme for bachelor‘s graduates of (almost) all subjects from various countries in geographical Europe who would like to study their master‘s degree in Germany. The aim of the programme: to promote European understanding and dialogue and to create a network that is committed to European cohesion.
