Special call for proposals of the German Center for Research and Innovation São Paulo
The German House for Research and Innovation (DWIH) São Paulo provides its supporters with funds to jointly develop and implement innovative event formats under the umbrella of the DWIH event series "Science for a Sustainable World: Dialogues on COP30". The aim is a series of events across Brazil in the run-up to COP30, which will take place in Belém in November 2025. This series of events offers the opportunity to intensively network science and society and to promote constructive dialogues and innovative solutions to the global challenges of climate change. Invitation of researchers in early career phases from sub-Saharan Africa
The World Academy of Sciences For the Advancement of Science in Developing Countries (TWAS) and the German Research Foundation (DFG) Collaborative Visits Programme offers postdoctoral researchers living and working in Sub-Saharan Africa the opportunity to undertake a three-month “collaborative visit” to a research institute in Germany. Such visits must take place within 12 months of the award.
The aim of the visit is to initiate research collaboration between the scientists from the MENA region and the German scientists, with the ultimate goal of establishing longer-term links, possibly through other programmes of the German Research Foundation (DFG). The DFG will cover travel and living expenses for the stay in Germany. The administration and financial operation of TWAS will be taken over by UNESCO under an agreement signed by the two organisations. You have until 19 May 2025 to submit your application.

Call for Applications for the Azrieli International Postdoctoral Fellowship
The Azrieli International Postdoctoral Fellowship supports the best and brightest minds in their postdoctoral research in Israel, connecting them with world-class academics and leading researchers. Applications open on 1 September 2025 and close on 19 November 2025. The fellowship supports exceptional postdocs across all disciplines at Israeli academic institutions. Fellows receive a monthly stipend of 14,000 NIS for a duration of up to three years.
Please note that candidates for both fellowships must secure an academic sponsor in Israel before applying.
Call for Funding for International Collaborative Projects in the Field of Scientific Research and Innovation
The EU-LAC Interest Group towards the Common Research Area launches a new Joint Call to enhance the bi-regional cooperation in Science, Technology and Innovation. The aim of the Joint Call is to initiate sustainable and multilateral research cooperation between researchers from Europe, Latin-America and the Caribbean countries. Transnational consortia are invited to submit proposals related to six topics in the thematic fields of Global Challenges, Bioeconomy, Health, Energy and Open Science. Projects will be funded for up to 36 months. The call is open until 22 May 2025.
Université Paris Cité’s Visiting Researchers Program 2026
Université Paris Cité is pleased to invite researchers from international institutions to participate in its Visiting Researchers Program 2026. This initiative offers an opportunity to collaborate with our faculty on joint research projects while benefiting from financial support for travel and living expenses. The application and selection process takes place from February to June 2025.
Weave Lead Agency Initiative: New Collaboration Opportunity with ARIS (Slovenia)
The Weave Lead Agency Procedure allows researchers from two to three European countries to submit a collaborative research proposal to a funding agency, such as the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG), which acts as the lead agency for evaluation and funding recommendations, while other partner agencies, such as ARIS (Slovenia), approve the funding and budget.
