Roundtable: "Heritage Urgencies: Perspectives from Research"
Heritage today is shaped by complex global dynamics that challenge conventional understandings of heritage-making. Fundamental questions seek answers in new contexts: What is preserved? Who decides its value? How is heritage reimagined for the future?
In a roundtable discussion on 16 July from 6 to 8pm, 'inherit'’s directors Eva Ehninger and Sharon Macdonald explore today’s most urgent challenges facing heritage and heritage studies. The conversation will engage international experts sharing their perspectives from research in Africa, Asia, Europe, and Latin America. The roundtable is organized by 'inherit. heritage in transformation', a BMFTR-funded Centre for Advanced Study at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, which deals with historical, present and future transformations in the field of heritage. To attend in person, please register via email until 14 July. A livestream will be available via the event website.
