The Cir­cle U. AI Weeks 2025: In­ter­dis­ci­pli­nary and on­line

This May and June, join this series of online events exploring key questions around artificial intelligence: current trends, environmental costs, impact on research and links to human behaviour.

First up: "The energy cost of AI development: How high is the Price?" This talk and discussion on 26 May, 9:30am – 11am will look at how technological innovation can be reconciled with energy efficiency. Register by 22 May!

On 27 and 28 May, the symposium "AI in Circle U.: Connecting Minds, Shaping the Future" will bring together experts from the nine member universities to discuss unique challenges that arise in modern AI systems. Sign up by 20 May!

Also on 28 May, a full day will be dedicated to the question: "AI and Psychology: What possible convergences?" Expect expertise from diverse perspectives and scientific reflection on ethical questions. Sign up by 22 May!

The University of Pisa is organising a Circle U. webinar, exploring the role of Generative AI in academic research, addressing both its benefits and limitations. Tune in to "Generative AI in research: lights, shadows and key competencies" on 13 June, 10am – 11:30am. Register by 9 June!
