King's College London

The cooperation between Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and King´s College London (KCL) originated in 1990s in the Faculty of Law and the Department of Social Sciences. Meanwhile, KCL has become a close partner, with an exchange volume of more than 40 students and numerous researchers each year. Besides the exchanges financed by the ERASMUS programme, joint research workshops are offered on a regular basis by five faculties, to which PhD students also have access. The two universities have established a joint PhD programme; in addition, there are three joint master degrees.

Since 2015 both universities have been part of an international consortium – together with UNAM (Mexico), University of Delhi (India), and UFABC (Brazil) – which joined "Dialogues on Disability" to consider the everyday life of students with special needs. The group meets at a yearly conference; in 2018 it will take place in Berlin. Furthermore, the summer schools of both universities offer free places for students of the respective other university. All in all, the intensive exchange is both developed further by researchers and students and supported administratively. It holds remarkable potential for the future.

Please contact the Erasmus coordinators of the respective faculties for details regarding the Erasmus exchange with King's College London.
